Assalamualaikum
Bertemu lagi kita di entry terbaru. Kerja tak buat tapi mengada nak buat entry baru. We just came back from Seoul and it was a super fun trip! Rasa macam sekejap sangat bercuti di Korea. Serius tak puas. Harus pergi lagi sebab banyak tempat tak sempat cover. Oh, the travelogue will be written by my mom ye. Okay, let's continue with the review. Since ada orang tanya kat mana kami stay di Korea, so here it goes!
Brown Stone Building @ Twin Tower |
Disebabkan tak reti nak cakap Hangul, maka kami amat memerlukan dapur. Parent memang tak berani nak makan kat mana-mana kedai or even stalls tepi jalan. Oh, imigresen or kastam Korea tak strict sangat. Again, maybe because we're on family vacation. Selamatlah segala makanan kami.
We booked the apartment for 4 nights through AGODA and I guessed we got the best price here. Sangat berbaloi sebenarnya sebab we need kitchen, we need our own ensuite bathroom, we need space to relax, dan segala macam ' we needs' la. So, we chose the 2 bedroom apartment with quite affordable price. And, yes, we requested a city view facing apartment at a very high floors without any extra charges. Sepatutnya memang kena cas pun tapi budak mengada ni pandai mengayat maka dapatlah for free. Haha.
Facilities provided in this apartment was great. Boleh kata complete serba serbi. Worth every penny that you spent. Erm, if you need guidance and tips, don't hesitate to ask the reception. You can communicate with them even with some basic English. Security itself are okay. Memang rasa selamat sebab jiran-jiran semua adalah Korean. Oh, ada surveillance camera kat ding-dong bell tu, jadi bolehlah nampak siapa yang datang melawat anda. Tapi, ada ke yang nak datang melawat? Hurm. TV channel sangat banyak and of course lah totally in Hangul kan. Buat-buat faham lah. Sempat tengok Running Man dan We Got Married lagi. Haha. Excited! Malas nak samak or sertu benda-benda ni. Orang tengah lapar, time-time tu lah nak samak or sertu semua kan. Dari was-was baik bawa je dari rumah. Mind you, the check in will be at 3 pm and the check out time will be at 11 am. But, no worries as you can drop your luggage at the lobby upon your arrival. Overall, memang okay sangat la sebab 'we get what we want'. Affordable, privacy, city view, safety and kitchen too!

Let's continue with the location. Since bangunan ini tinggi, memang senang nak spot dari jauh. Tapi, most Korean tak berapa aware sangat dengan tempat ni. Even though it's called Brown Suite, but the building itself is 'Brown Stone'. Then, we met an adorable Korean whom willing to show us the direction. Sangat friendly and I guess this Korean lady rasa bersalah sebab left us without any direction. Mula-mula plan nak naik taxi straight dari airport, then kami tukar plan naik airport bus. Bila dia drop tepi jalan, terus blur mana nak cari bangunan tu. Jalan straight sampai jumpa Brown Suite Residence betul - betul depan jalan besar. Ada faham? Tiba-tiba jadi confused. Sigh. Oh. Kalau berminat nak naik airport bus, sila naik bus 6015 dan bayar time nak naik. Kalau nak naik taxi, anda kena ready duit tol sebab excluded dari taxi fare. Yes, pay the tolls on your own.
Kalau anda plan nak naik subway untuk sightseeing, the nearby station are Chungjeongno Station and Seoul Station. Macam kami, we prefer to take the subway from Seoul Station. Seoul Station ni betul-betul macam KL Sentral kat Malaysia. Macam lautan manusia. You can go anywhere from Seoul Station. Banyak transit ada kat Seoul Station, just make sure you ride the right train. Once you're in the right track, you never get lost. Kalau nak naik bus, boleh pergi ke Seoul Station or Chungjeongno Station or jalan menghala ke Seoul Station. Nanti ada bus stop dekat nearby area. Nak naik taxi pun boleh tapi kalau anda lebih dari 4 orang, kenalah ambil 2 taxi sebab satu taxi boleh ambil up to 4 passenger only. Disebabkan kami 5 orang, kami naik taxi malam-malam je sebab time-time macam ni la taxi driver berani ambil 5 orang. Make sure anda ambil hotel card dekat lobby so that it's easier for you to travel.
If you're not a Muslims, then foods is not a matter. You can dine at any restaurant or stalls nearby the apartment. There's a lot of restaurant and shops nearby and I bet the restaurant is open till late night. The ahjumma's and ahjussi's were friendly too! Don't worry about the safety as I saw some schoolkids and youngsters having their dinner or supper without any hassle. Last but not least, don't forget to check on the forecast weather as if it's raining all day long, you gonna need an umbrella to walk around. Though the rain are not as heavy as we have in Malaysia, the temperature could be as low as minus, and plus the windy? You surely need the sweater!
Fly wherever you want but still you gonna miss your home.
Alhamdulillah. Safely arrived. Thank You Allah!

DeleteTak sure pula which one but since brown suite ni in between chungjeongno, city hall and seoul station so rasa bukan yg dekat insadong. Insadong agak jauh dari brown suite but we saw fraser somewhere along the city hall subway.
