Plastic is obesity?

Assalamualaikum

Few days ago ada dengar discussion dalam IKIM.fm pasal plastic. At first, of course dalam kepala macam a bit confuse how come a plastic could cause you an obese? I left science stream few years ago, so pardon me for being so typical. The thing is, that's what we called technology. Don't you think a bottle just came out in shape after you added in the plastic? It went through many process to come out with one good bottle. What makes it stay in shape is the chemicals behind the product. Tapi, kalau plastik pun boleh jadi punca obesiti, I don't know how to handle this. If we noticed, almost everything - I mean a product packaging, mostly used a plastic and the communities also depends very much on the plastic. So memang agak susah for us to stop using a plastic. For scientist, this is your time to shine dengan mencipta something on organic basis.

Typically, orang selalu cakap numbers inside the triangle bawah botol -macam dalam gambar bawah ni- used to be a sign of how many times the plastic had been recycled tapi anda salah. I was in doubt at first tapi after dengar talk dalam radio and had some research, tanda itu bukan seperti yang anda fikir.

The number tells you the chemical used to make a plastic. Come to think of it, no wonder people around me selalu cakap this water tasted like a plastic. It's not a joke even though it sounds weird since you're drinking it directly from the bottle. Those chemicals can be easily absorbed into your food or drinks and wallah, your food is contaminated with chemicals!

Even my parent selalu marah and reminding us not to took and consume any food or drinks yang sudah exposed to heat for a long time sebab chemicals react on certain level of heat. As a precaution, kalau ada mineral bottle yang dah lama kepanasan dalam kereta, sila jangan guna and throw away. Tapi, janganlah buang sepah-sepah or campak merata. Buat amal dengan recycle balik. One small deed can lead into another.

I'm not a chemists or scientist, just wanna share a little bit information as a precaution. Actually, sekarang banyak manufacturer produce product based on BPA (bisphenol A) free sebab some of us did aware on this issue tapi don't get excited yet sebab BPA free pon still ada chemicals but it's more organic than those yang without BPA.

BPA Free for baby bottle (Google)

Please correct me if I'm wrong okay! Please look for more information and details if you want deeper understanding as what I wrote here may be conflicting with the real facts. Bahaha. I'm a student, never will and won't be a chemist since takde expertise dalam chemistry :( Instead of using plastic bottles, jom cari alternatives lain eh! Sekarang dah ada paper bag and biodegradable plastic, so let's used it to the fullest. Kita guna sampai lebam dan apply 3R (recycle, reuse, reduce) dalam daily life okay. Plastic harm both human and environment, so go for green, guys! :)
